Product Marketing Specialist - Maternity Leave Replacement until October 2024
Job Description
The Product Marketing Specialist for our Vertafore Canada office has experience creating messages for different product versions. Using product marketing best practices, the goal for the successful candidate is to create compelling messages for Vertafore's various products. This role involves marketing tactics and research, including product positioning, buyer intelligence and sales support responsibilities. Please note that this is a fixed term role.
This role will assist with the launch and support of the Vertafore Canada products, and you may be required to assist with other products as well if needed. You'll act as the voice of the customer to continue to transform our marketing messages in ways that help our customers adapt to a quickly changing technology market.
You'll work closely with various internal teams and work closely with your internal marketing partners. You'll assist with the definition of the product positioning, market plans, and sales enablement plans. You'll help test and optimize new ways to engage customers. Additionally, you'll use insights and analytics to make decisions on where to invest and how to evolve programs.
Role and responsibilities:
• Create launch plans, including email strategy, target customers/users and create value messages.
• Collaborate with partners involved in launches, including demand generation activities, generate leads and determine customer needs for the development of different product versions.
• Manage all tasks, including editorial calendar, content and coordination of training with sales.
• Develop social media content to include product versions, launches, and shares on the various relevant platforms.
• Create valuable emails about launches.
• Ensure that products receive ongoing support after they are put into production.
• Learn and develop key product messages with the Product team and the Director of Marketing.
• Collaborate on market research with the Director of Marketing.
• Work with SMEs to provide buyer-focused leadership.
• Assist in ensuring that product nomenclature is up to date.
• Develop strategies with sales on key events to help and support sales.
• Collaborate with the demand generation and PR team to align social media efforts with other campaigns.
Qualifications:
• 2-4 years of experience in a relevant B2B or B2C digital or product marketing discipline.
• Bilingual – French - English
• Demonstrated success launching new products to market and partnering with a sales organization.
• Strong communication with talent to simplify complex messages to easy-to-understand stories.
• Detailed oriented and sets high threshold for quality.
• Self-motivated with drive and determination to succeed.
• A team player – prepared to do what it takes to meet the goals of the team.
Additional Requirements and Details:
• Travel required up to 10% of the time.
• Located and working from an office location.
• Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.
• Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (working on a computer, etc.).
• Frequent sitting and/or standing.
