Job Description

About Paxos

Today’s financial infrastructure is archaic, expensive, inefficient and risky — supporting a system that leaves out more people than it lets in. So we’re rebuilding it.
We’re on a mission to open the world’s financial system to everyone by enabling the instant movement of any asset, any time, in a trustworthy way. For over a decade, we’ve built blockchain infrastructure that tokenizes, custodies, trades and settles assets for the world’s leading financial institutions, like PayPal, Venmo, Mastercard and Interactive Brokers.

About the team

The Product Operations team acts as a bridge between our customers and products, helping to turn ideas into tangible, market-leading solutions. We ensure the smooth execution of day-to-day operations, create excellent customer experiences and work closely with internal partners across product, engineering and customer success to drive new initiatives forward from design to implementation.

About the role

We’re looking for a Product Operations Associate to be at the forefront of our dynamic business lines, supporting core activities that keep our company running smoothly. The role is a unique blend of both developing and delivering best-in-class business operations, including asset settlement, reconciliation, analytical reporting and customer interaction.

You’ll have a hand in several projects and strategic initiatives across Paxos, including digital asset custody and stablecoin management. You’ll work closely with our senior associates and program managers to have a direct impact on Paxos’ growth and the broader acceptance of digital assets in global finance.

What you’ll do

  • Build a nimble infrastructure to support an expanding, innovative product base.
  • Execute workflows with speed and accuracy while participating in strategic reengineering, audit, risk and new business initiatives.
  • Actively engage with users, providing  scaled support to resolve issues, identify user trends and work with cross-functional partners to find solutions using technology and automation.
  • Drive the delivery of operational milestones and strategic initiatives set by Operations Management at the company-wide level, ensuring rigor through best-in-class project management practices and applying critical thinking to each business decision.
  • Manage business operations to ensure fiat currency and crypto assets are custodied and transferred seamlessly, and that issues are detected and resolved promptly. This includes some after-hours work, weekend work and office visits.
  • Immerse yourself in blockchain technology, cryptocurrency for enterprises and investors, our regulation-first approach, and more!

About you

We're looking for recent graduates or those with up to one year of experience who are ready to roll up their sleeves and make an impact from day one.

  • You have strong analytical skills, and ability to recognize and analyze trends in data is a plus.
  • You have a strong attention to detail and passion for solving problems.
  • You have the ability to thrive in ambiguity, organizing effectively  and asking the right questions.
  • You have the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • You’re comfortable working in a tech-driven environment and can  coordinate across several stakeholder groups (Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Marketing, People, Strategic Initiatives, Office of the CEO)
  • You have the ability to “get your hands dirty” and create leverage on projects by bringing your unique expertise and willingness to learn the moving parts.
  • You have a strong project management orientation, with the ability to communicate issues/concerns before they become fires and facilitate the right stakeholders in a discussion to solve for them.
  • Experience in FinTech or financial services is a plus.

Note: Product Operations is an on-site team, requiring employees to work from our New York office at least three days a week.

Pay and benefits

Paxos offers a competitive total compensation and benefits package, including equity. Actual salary within that range is dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience and qualifications.

Expected range for the salary component for candidates located within the United States is:

$88,400—$100,000 USD
