The Product Operations team makes it possible for Valon to build, scale, and continuously improve our product and operations at a rapid pace. They work closely with teams like Product, Engineering, Compliance, Legal, Client Experience, and Servicing Operations to develop our operational processes for both new and existing products. As a member of this team, you will use your skills to gather business requirements, advance operational excellence across our business, and fulfill Valon’s mission of creating a great user experience for homeowners.

About the Role

We are looking for a growth-minded and collaborative leader who is passionate about operationalization, achieving product objectives, and working with stakeholders across the company. The right candidate is cross-functional and able to drive operational excellence in our business. They enjoy tackling complex problems without frequent guidance (you are an owner!) and have the process-oriented thinking required to tackle the operationally complex challenges our business faces.

• Develop the “operational how” by building and documenting new processes and continuously optimizing existing processes in close collaboration with Product, Operations, and Compliance
• Translate business requirements into documentation and ultimately into day-to-day standard operating procedures
• Ensure that the Operations teams are ready for new products and features with the resources, documentation, FAQs, standard operating procedures, etc. needed in partnership with the business and Enablement
• Work with the Client Experience, Servicing Operations, Compliance, and Quality Management teams to ensure operational excellence and efficiency
• Coordinate and act as the intake function from other teams for engineering
• Review and collaborate with teams to collect, prioritize, and communicate product-related feedback
• Cultivate a deep understanding of the mortgage servicing industry

• 2+ years experience working in program or project management, product operations, consulting, finance/mortgage operations, or business operations role that worked closely with product and engineering teams
• Prior experience working closely and building trusted partnerships with internal product and engineering teams
• Exceptional project management skills and ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects with deadlines and high velocity
• Strong communicator, emphasis on both written and verbal
• Able to work cross-functionally between engineering and operations
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong interest in technology
• Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets
• Looker experience preferred
