Product Owner

ContinuumCloud is hiring a Product Owner to work closely with the Product Manager, Marketing, and Engineering teams. While collaborating with the broader Product team, this person is focused on our HCM & Payroll platform, powered by DATIS e3. The Product Owner is a scrum team member, actively participates in sprints, and uses exemplary writing skills for user stories to curate the product backlog. The position requires active refinement and prioritization of the product backlog, ensuring the highest-value items are delivered promptly.

Requirements

How you'll make an impact:

• Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning
• Collect and process input from internal and external stakeholders to build strategic features and enhancements
• Coordinate with external teams and stakeholders on implementations, go-to-market strategy, and product launch activities
• Define and prioritize work in the team's backlog. Continually ensure that the team's backlog priorities are aligned with the overall product and company goals and strategy
• Drive feature and enhancement recommendations in relation to delivering enhancements in an efficient manner
• Maintain a holistic view of the product, never losing sight of the smaller details
• Support the engineering team with business escalations
• Support the team in creating sprint goals and tracking sprint metrics
• Translate business needs into detailed user stories and provide good end-to-end business understanding to the engineering team

What you bring to the role:

• Bachelor's degree with a focus on business, engineering, or product design
• Ability to translate customer and business needs to technical solutions
• Expertise related to human capital management or payroll software solutions
• Demonstrate a high degree of initiative and self-motivation
• Experience as a product owner in an Agile software development organization in support of a SaaS business
• Experience with agile software development processes, requirements management, and project management
• Agile certification as a product owner (preferred)
• Pragmatic Marketing certified (preferred)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
