Product Owner

Job Description:

Product Owner delivers on the product vision and optimizes the value of the teams' work. They plan how to achieve the goals of the product, define detailed specifications and user stories, adjust product team's daily operations to reflect the Product Manager's strategy and goals. The Product Owner can successfully transition to unfamiliar business and systems domains with minimal guidance.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, event lists, business analysis, competitive product analysis, task and workflow analysis, and/or viewpoints
• Effectively verifies and validates requirements; ensures that all requirements support the delivery of business value, fulfills goals and objectives, and meets a stakeholder need
• Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats
• Manage requirement traceability and changes throughout the project lifecycle
• Manages product backlogs, including the creation, optimization, prioritization and delivery of approved product features and roadmap milestones.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in related field
• Minimum 1-3 years support operational, continuous improvement, systems improvements and/or other applicable experience

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Proficient computer skills in MS Office Suite and in an electronic ERP system
• Flexibility in work schedule in order to meet department needs; may require up to 10% travel
• Foster an environment of innovation via customer centricity, institutionalizing agile innovation practices based on quantifiable customer insights and a lean-startup approach
