What's exciting about the role

As a Product Owner in Verifone, you are a member of the Agile team who serves as the customer proxy responsible for working with Product Management and other stakeholders, including other product owners, to define and prioritize stories in the engineering backlog. 

You will manage the vision, strategy, and tactical execution associated with product development, develop and set program priorities, and handle the engineering backlog. You are also responsible for maintaining the integrity and quality of the last mile deliverable and being the voice of our product.

Main responsibilities

• Define the vision of our products
• Work and engage with Stakeholders, Scrum Team and Users including technical teams within banks/financial institutions across Turkey
• Manage Global and SI Backlog 
• Create User Stories 
• Attend Scrum Meetings 
• Manage Release Planning 
• Limit the Scope of a Scrum Sprint 
• Evaluating product progress at each iteration and give final approval 
• Adhere to business goals and manage finances 
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that may impact banking products
• Manage customer escalations between help desk and development group levels 

Skills and Experience we desire

• University Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of experience in a Product Owner role or similar
• Strong follow-up skills 
• Experience in the payment industry
• Strong MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) skills 
• In-depth knowledge of Banking payment products, services, and regulations. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable strategies.
