The Role

A Product Owner at RoofMarketplace is responsible for product management and business analysis work. This includes understanding the problems our customers and internal staff face, building solutions for these problems with key stakeholders, communicating these solutions and modifying where necessary, and documenting business processes, customer journeys and needs. Product Owners drive the formulation, refinement, and implementation of our software platform.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and document business processes and customer journeys.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, refine, and document business requirements.
  • Communicate clear and precise requirements to Solution Architects and the rest of the technology department.
  • Serve as liaison between the technology and platform department and other business stakeholders and customers.
  • Understand system capabilities and limitations.
  • Become a subject matter expert.
  • Maintain and communicate product development procedures and roadmaps.
  • Work with stakeholders on the documentation, training, and rollout of product updates.
  • Ensure critical and time-sensitive product updates are successfully applied.
  • Assist in prioritizing initiatives based on strategic value and return-on-investment.
Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar or equivalent role.
  • Can facilitate clear, precise communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on quality.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Not required, but 'nice to have':

  • Exposure to insurance, construction, and/or the roofing industry.
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience with software development planning tools, such as Jira.
Location & Commitment

  • Wisconsin resident
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
Benefits & Compensation

  • Remote-first workplace, required to be in the office (in Milwaukee) a few days a month.
  • Insurance offerings include medical, dental, vision, life, and disability.
  • 401(k) available.
  • Competitive salary.
