HOW YOU WILL SOAR:
The Product Owner will report to the Director, Data Science & Analytics in the Product Management Department. This role is responsible for ideation, specification, prioritization, implementation, and acceptance of product features in an Agile environment. The incumbent will be empowered and accountable to deliver innovative products to the market while working closely with leadership, clients, and technical teams to ensure product development aligns with business and technology outcomes. The ideal candidate will be strategic, innovative, and creative with a solid analytic foundation.
  • Execute product roadmaps with a focus on measurable outcomes
  • Track and regularly share progress with stakeholders and team members
  • Author user stories and provide context for the product vision, strategy, and requirements
  • Groom backlog and ensure that stories are ready for development
  • Monitor and report KPIs on business and client metrics for the product
  • Collaborate with various business lines and Technology to analyze needs, constraints, risks, and alignment with organizational strategy and priorities
  • Work in partnership with team members and stakeholders to employ Agile methods, processes, tools, and metrics to deliver value, including ongoing product backlog refinement, product roadmaps, and release planning
  • Engage and collaborate with team members to create and manage Agile artifacts (e.g., Product Roadmap, Backlog, Release Plan, Lessons Learned) and information needed for prioritization and decision-making
  • Regularly assess features and costs to determine priorities for the product roadmap
  • Responsible for accepting product deliverables and providing guidance to the implementation teams
  • Simultaneously execute on a product plan while partnering with the Product Manager completely re-imaging the vision for the product
  • Monitor ongoing use of data products to help make invest/divest decisions
  • Possess advanced working knowledge of Tableau and Cloud data warehouses
  • Other duties as assigned

IF YOU HAVE SOME OR ALL OF THE FOLLOWING, APPLY:
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Product Development or related field
  • Scrum Product Owner or Certified Product Manager credentials preferred
  • 5-7 years of applicable experience
  • Experience in accessing and analyzing data with tools such as SQL
  • Experience in understanding and interpreting data via intuitive business intelligence dashboards and experiences for clients and internal business partners
  • Experience exploring data to proactively answer key business questions or to drive strategy development
  • Experience in technical delivery role implementing data analytics and data warehousing projects
  • Experience as an analyst, and/or developer preferred
  • Experience with various technology solutions including Salesforce and Service-Oriented Architecture
  • Background in Financial Services and Fintech strongly preferred
  • Experience with Cloud, APIs, DevOps, Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban)
  • Strategic, innovative, and creative thinker with a solid analytic foundation
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to gain credibility, garner respect, and guide the creation of self-organizing teams
  • Working knowledge of Agile practices such as iterative development, incremental delivery, backlog management, burn down metrics, velocity and task definition
  • Ability to be professionally assertive with business priorities and address opposing viewpoints while adhering to Agile concepts and principles
  • Strong communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills to connect and engage with team members, facilitate discussions, mentor and advocate for team members, negotiate with the business, and resolve conflicts
  • Ability to work with minimal direction, and flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities and schedules
  • Ability to handle multiple issues simultaneously and manage stressful situations
  • Strong knowledge of technical concepts and architectural principles to drive scalable solutions.
