Product Owner
Job Description
Fluidra is seeking a Product Owner that will support our IoT equipment product roadmap. This position will be based out of our North American Headquarters in Carlsbad, CA.

WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
We are seeking a Product Owner with Scrum-Agile experience to drive execution against our IoT equipment product roadmap. This role will interface directly with the members of a cross-functional Agile Software Team toĀ design and communicate requirements, monitor, and consult on feature development, and ensure the finished product delivers the desired user experience.
The ideal candidate for this role thrives in a dynamic work environment and enjoys communicating with a wide variety of stakeholders. This role wants to make a difference and understands their work is critical to execution against our IoT product strategy.Ā Additionally, you will:
- User Advocacy: build a strong understanding of our customers and users to empathize with their goals/challenges and advocate for their experiences.
- Product Direction: clearly communicate the product vision for each release and sprint so that the team understands and is equipped to realize it; collaborate with UI/UX development to create wireframes and UI designs to augment user story development.
- Product Requirements: create user stories and acceptance tests from themes and features granular enough for a single sprint; prioritize and sequence user stories, bugs, and tasks into a product backlog.
- Product Development: lead the sprint planning meetings for the development team; create the sprint backlog using prioritized user stories from the product backlog.
- Acceptance Testing: Test delivered user stories to ensure compliance with acceptance criteria; lead demonstration of working features to stakeholders at the conclusion of each sprint.
- Team Communication: participate in sprint planning, estimating, daily stand-ups, and sprint retrospectives; is consistently accessible to the development team throughout the sprint forĀ questions and collaborative problem solving.
- Stakeholder Management: Work collaboratively with Product Managers and execute against the PMās product vision/strategy; participate in release planning; communicate sprint and release progress, ensuring process transparency; capture stakeholder feedback to refine user story backlog and prioritization.

WHAT WE SEEK
- 3+Ā years of Agile Product Owner experienceĀ OR in-depth familiarity withĀ JandyĀ Automation & Equipment
- Thorough understanding of agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures
- Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Ability to effectively communicate user needs through user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Ability to understand technical issues, connectivity technologies, and the Internet of Things
- Collaborative and comfortable in a team environment
- Self-directed and driven, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and comfortable delivering presentations.
- Excellent negotiation skills; be decisive and assertively advocate for user experience as part of the product vision.
- Ability to be flexible as needs change; move seamlessly between strategic and the tactical with a focus on the end-user needs.
- Advanced analytical andĀ problem-solvingĀ skills
- Scrum Product Owner certification (CSPO or similar)Ā is preferred.
- FamiliarityĀ with Atlassian JIRA project tracking softwareĀ is preferred.
- Familiarity with IoT, home automation, industrial automation, or relatedĀ is a plus.

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing/business management, computer science, or engineering

ExpectedĀ salaryĀ range is $90,000 - $120,000.Ā FluidraĀ offers a comprehensive total rewards / benefits program that includes baseĀ salary, annual bonus based on performance of individual and company objectives, competitive 401K matching,Ā paidĀ vacation and sick time, full range of health benefits, educational assistance, etc. The actualĀ salaryĀ offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including skills, qualifications,Ā experienceĀ and location.
