In the Materials and Structural Analysis (MSD) Division of Thermo Fisher Scientific we provide innovative solutions for electron microscopy in scientific and industrial lab environments. A key component of those solutions is software.

The Position

The position of Product Owner in Athena Cryoflow team is available in the Data and Artificial Intelligence (D&AI) team in MSD R&D with colleagues across the USA, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, and France. In particular, the position is for the SAFe organization and synchronization of our Athena Imaging Data Management platform, which is mostly based in Bordeaux, France. The position is open in Eindhoven (Netherlands), Bordeaux (France).

The Athena team is an upbeat and hardworking team that is building an outstanding workflow management system, supporting and enabling our customers in semiconductor industry, life sciences and material sciences to make new discoveries and build new devices every day!

Athena Cryoflow team delivers innovative solutions based on Athena Platform for two ART of the Life Science business unit. The successful candidate will prioritize initiatives in the roadmap of the teams for multiple achievements.

In this role you will:

• Prioritize Epics and features for the teams in the current delivery

• Prepare the next delivery, aligned with other Product Owners and Product Manager
• Challenge Product Manager vision with short and mid term priorities

• Support the quality of the solution with clear expectation and alignment with SQA
• Support projects and day-to-day partnership
• Follows existing processes on task/job area specific improvements

The candidate

The ideal candidate enjoys working in a multi-cultural, collaborative high-tech data science and software environment.

Besides that, you have:

• Academic education (MSc+) preferably in software engineering
• Experience in functional specification or testing of products
• Strong functional experience of scientific software solution, ideally in Life Science context.
• Ability to take decisions and aligned current priorities and long term vision
• Identifies new/additional tasks required and seeks approval/mentorship to be performed.
