Product Owner-GoNow Mobile Companion
Summary of the role:
Maximize the outcome of the Agile teams to give best value to the customers. Create, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog, create actionable user stories for the development team, participate in daily scrum meetings, answer developers' questions as the customer/user representative, accept the finished user stories to make sure the work meets the criteria, participate in iteration retrospectives. Can work in a context of more than one Agile team(s) (Scrum or Kanban), applying the best agile practices in term of product backlog management. Master the vertical slicing ensuring the delivery of effective value at the end of each iteration.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain market awareness, expansion of offerings or products and market, working together with industry, client account teams, Sales teams, and product management leadership.
- Develop the specific software product vision and value proposition. Ensure a crisp and compelling Value Proposition is in place.
- Maintain Product Strategy/Roadmap, including Competitive & Market Positioning.
Focused approach and efforts on proactive innovation:
- Identify opportunities to innovate
- Oversee periodic refreshes of Products to ensure they capture recent engagement learning and innovation from across the business and customer base.
- Ensure proper integration of relevant products or assets across the organization.
- Monitor Product performance. Continuously update and innovate the products and assets.
- Partner with best-of-breed vendors for joint product and client development
Product Skills and Capabilities Development
- Guide the development of tools, such as diagnostics, methodologies, toolkits, data repositories, job aids, and topic pages, to ensure that practice professionals can access the best examples of strategically important knowledge and assets quickly and easily.
Team Management
- As a Career Counselor, mentor direct reports (including matrixed reports) and provide performance feedback
- Create an open and collaborative work environment.
- Proactively request and evaluate feedback on team performance and processes.
- Manage and coordinate resource planning, aligned with the company's overall resource plan.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or above preferred
2+ years' experience in Business/Systems Analysis or Requirements Gathering/Analysis role
2+ years' experience in root cause analysis
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven ability to solve problems and issues effectively
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills
Proven discipline to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Flexible work schedule; willing to travel
Ability to assist in envisioning, designing, drafting of product requirements
Ability to assist customer in drawing conclusions for process/procedural changes in airport environments
