Product Owner Intern

Aptiv is seeking an energetic Product Owner Intern for its Advanced Safety & User Experience segment in Troy, MI.

Summary:

The Product Owner Role intern supports a Product Owner. Our Product Owners ensures proper planning and efficient execution of software development. If selected you'll be supporting a talented Product Owner and work with global teams consisting of software, system and test engineers. Aptiv develops cutting edge advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) and Body Control Modules which enhances vehicle operation and safety.

Responsibilities:

The PO Intern will shadow a Product Owner and support the PO in all the Sprint activities. The key job functions for Product Owner Intern are as follows

• Support a PO in maintaining the Scrum Team Backlog (planning & prioritizing)
• Support a PO in setting Definition of Done (DoD) and accept or reject stories based on the DoD.
• Support the PO in Coordinating content dependencies with other POs and all relevant stakeholders.
• Support the PO in achieving Quality of the feature/product/ component.

• Support the PO in Planning and coordinate software development activities with other global sites

Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering discipline (electrical, systems, computer science, software, computer or related field of study)

• Possesses good communication skills
• Experience with Python or any other automation/scripting language

Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):

• Prior work experience will be an added advantage

• Working knowledge of Embedded SW development
• Knowledge of vehicle protocols and drivers - CAN, SPI, I2C, and/or Ethernet drivers
• Knowledge of SDLC tools such as JIRA, Requirements management tool (like DOORs, Polarion), Configuration management tool (like Plastic, GIT)
• Familiarity with Software Development process
