Duties:

Prioritizing the work within the scrum team and communication: Responsible for writing stories, which the scrum team uses as a guide during their code implementation and testing. Prioritizing the stories so that the scrum team can focus on the most important ones first. Breaking up enhancements into items of work and determining with team what order the items need to be addressed. Business Liaison to their Scrum team. Large features must be broken down into smaller digestible components for the scrum team to work on. Provide business perspective to their team and be the team's subject matter expert on business issues: Coordinate with scrum team the business reason for why a feature is being implemented. Reasons could be that the feature will make the user experience more favorable, could drive more revenues or volumes on the bond trading platform, or could result in workflow enhancements for other parts of the firm. Gathering Requirements from key stakeholders: Coordinating between the various departments at MarketAxess to make sure that features are implemented in a way that is usable from a business perspective and user-friendly. Communicating with other Product Owners: Communicating testing requirements to members outside the Muni bond department and keeping them apprised of new features underway in the Muni department so that the firm can take advantage of potential synergies. Understand other teams’ enhancements and the impact on their team and other teams: Staying abreast of what the other scrum teams are working on to ensure that deliverable features do not clash with each other and see if there could be potential synergies across departments. Determining that the enhancement is complete and ready for production: Reviewing the feature's implementation before delivery to ensure it is functioning as designed and not missing any critical components for the end user. Communicating Enhancements to the rest of MarketAxess: Communicating timelines and specifications to the relevant departments at MarketAxess. Departments include Sales, Operations, Finance, Settlements, Legal, Client Services, Account Services, and Production Support. Being able to explain and support the new features to Sales, Operations, Finance, Settlements, Legal, Client Services, Account Services, and Production Support: Once a feature is delivered, providing demos to sales, operations, and other relevant parties, as needed. Telecommuting is permitted.

The position requires a master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, CIS, Engineering, or a related field and two years of experience. Requires 6 months of experience in the following skills: Microsoft SQL Server experience; BI tools; Database Architecture and Relational DBMS; Salesforce Application; Atlassian suite - JIRA and Confluence; Product Backlog management; and Stakeholder management.

Duties: Analyze corporate bond market activity and market micro-structure, including proprietary MarketAxess data. Take ownership for existing research models and reports. Assist in the development and production of new models and reports. Create and maintain presentation materials for internal and external meetings. Work closely with global product and development teams to enrich client trading solutions.

Requires a Master’s degree in Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related field(s) plus 3.5 years of experience as a Research and Teaching Assistant or in a related occupation(s).

Requires 3.5 years of experience in the following skills: Python; statistics and optimization methods; Machine Learning; data analysis; and financial modeling.
