Product Owner, Product Development 5

In this role, the Product Owner is involved in every aspect of the product development process from discovery to delivery. You will work directly with UX, designers, engineers and stakeholders to ship meaningful products. The Product Owner will be expected to demonstrate an innovation mindset and full range of product development skills. Applicants must be able to push the boundaries of what is possible, while sharing in our healthy obsession of quality and simplicity.

• Analyze competitive products, features and market trends in order to help inform requirements management. Make recommendations regarding product roadmap features and enhancements to ensure ongoing viability of products and emerging usability and technology trends.

• Partner with stakeholders, especially development teams to communicate, prioritize and estimate product requirements. Conduct formal grooming and poker planning sessions required for new features, enhancements and bug fix work efforts. Investigate customer reported issues which may get converted into new user stories, workarounds or other actions. Manage an effective and groomed backlog.

• Elicit high-level requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, user stories, event lists, competitive product analysis, task and workflow analysis, and/or viewpoints. Clearly define Acceptance Criteria per feature, providing clarifications necessary to assist the team with their story estimates and story sequencing.

• Conduct requirements gathering sessions with internal SMEs, 3rd party vendors, and scrum team members to capture, document and diagram concise functional requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience: Bachelors in Information Management. Business or related field

5 years of experience, including:

• 4 years of experience in a Product Owner role
• Experience gathering and prioritizing software enhancements to serve a wide range of customer needs within the payments space
• Ability to derive valuable features from competing feedback loops
• A consistent customer champion, evaluating the needs of current customers against future customers
• Define and drive technical and product roadmaps
• Experience leading a SaaS or web-based software product
• Understanding of industry benchmarks in SaaS products, including future direction across consumer and business product lines

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience: Bachelors in Information Management. Business or related field

• 6 years of experience in a Product Owner role, preferably within Financial Services industry
• Development experience with SaaS or web-based software product
• Developing and maintaining close working relationships with UX, engineering, and business stakeholders
