The impact you will have in this role:
The Product Owner is responsible for translating the product vision into squad deliverables to achieve the product strategy, aligned with maximizing value to the client. This is done through managing scope and product backlog in collaboration with the squad, Product Manager, clients (internal/external) and key collaborators.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Leads by collaborating with internal resources and Product Managers (Scrum Master, Business Analysts, Development and QA Analysts) to create solutions that meet business needs in an Agile setting (i.e., scrum ceremonies, collocated team, etc.)
- Guides the team with direction from manager, PM to decompose requirements into stories, uncover associated workflows, data and business rules as well as define acceptance criteria based on real world scenarios.
- Reviews enhancement requests and bugs to determine solutions that do not negatively impact other product features.
- Determines and produces just-enough documentation for the functionality being delivered in iterations, but also compiles a running specification that serves as a functional specification for the final deliverable.
- Partners with internal customers on operational readiness activities by sharing subject matter expertise on features and functions and uncovering operational requirements.
- Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
Talents Needed for Success:
- Experience with business/system analysis and requirements documentation
- Experience/knowledge of business process re-engineering
- Good communication skills with the ability to present non-technical details to a technical audience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
- Awareness of automation design and development considerations including Agile methodologies
The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations. Clearing & Securities Services group delivers world-class safety and soundness for the global financial services industry. The team provides DTCC's portfolio of core securities business, including Institutional Trade processing and First Line Resilience and Control to facilitate better end-to-end planning and prioritization as well as enable more coordinated and seamless delivery of capabilities and services for our clients.
