As a Product Owner at Cognizant, you will be responsible for leading and collaborating with a team of business and technical subject matter experts that transform market and digital visions into initiative driven and outcome based solutions. You will be working with agile teams by defining product level requirements and solutions through modern methodology, business acumen and technical guidance. In addition you will provide delivery guidance and review while working directly with stakeholders to ensure optimal value and facilitating timely feedback loops for the most functionally rich, operationally efficient and supportable software to meet the needs of our varied customer base.
Job Title: Senior Manager Product Owner

Essential Functions:
- You will lead and partner with peers on roadmap definition for both the business development evolution and the architecture/operational modernization of QNXT.
- You will apply strong business acumen, leadership, and technology know-how to enable multi-functional teams to improve the entire lifecycle of the product.
- As an agile Product Owner Leader, you will partner closely with Product Management, Product Owners, Architecture, and Engineering with formulating and aligning requirements and expectations with key business stakeholders including Customers and Consulting groups.
- In this position, you will act as a voice of the end-user to guide work of an agile team, focusing on achievement of defined outcomes versus defining how the work is completed
- Effectively manage backlog of deliverables and capabilities, partner with Product Management to define/refine future deliverables, and adjust the overall roadmap of deliverables as needed
- Translate business strategies and needs into execution ready work for an Agile product team building initiative/market level requirements into product level definition and acceptance criteria
- Articulate team goals and strategy effectively to key stakeholders, and team members
- Act as voice of the end-user; have a deep understanding of and anticipate and proactively seek customer feedback ensuring needs and requirements are clearly defined;
- Make trade-off decisions to maximize value
- Optimize the flow of value by setting objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs) for solutions
- Inform and participate in business readiness; understand the impact of change, translate the approach to manage adoption and assess/mitigate risk
- Provide feedback on work-in-progress, clarify requirements and contribute to removing roadblocks or impediments; Look for opportunities for continuous team and process improvement
- Review delivered work by teams for completeness in terms of meeting high level of content, quality and supportability expectations.
- Partner with key leaders and peers across to determine resources required to achieve defined business outcomes
- Foster an innovative, inclusive and diverse team environment, promoting positive team culture, encouraging collaboration and self-organization
- Manage, provide feedback and/or be a mentor to Product Owners
- Ability to influence behaviors of leaders at all levels
- Foster an environment where individuals thrive as empowered and equal members of a team
- Expertise working with others in a cross-functional multi-team environment
- Demonstrate a commitment to continually improve, share learning with others and encourage team development
Qualifications:
Education: BS in Healthcare Sciences, Computer Science or related majors, Post graduate degree a plus
Required Experiences
- 8-10 years of work experience in related field required (including software development)
- 8-10 years of experience motivating/influencing teams as a business/technical lead required
- 8-10 years of Health care Payer industry experience
- Proven drive to achieve tangible outcomes and possesses strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and is strong in Servant Leadership behaviors, practices and skills required to develop, lead, and empower others
- Must lead by example, foster a culture of being client centric and focused on product outcomes
- Infuse Agile principles, practices and methodologies to achieve team success
Desired Experience:
- Scaled Agile experience (SAFe)
- Prior experience with Healthcare Payer administration
- Prior experience with Healthcare software development
- Prior experience with Product Owners on multiple teams and engagements
- Prior experience with the QNXT product or similar products
- Prior experience as Integration lead, program manager or delivery lead

- Experience with software development NFRs for ultimate repeatability and supportability of the software
