What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Product Quality Assurance Engineer specializing in Test Automation, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the quality and reliability of our software products. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to identify testing requirements and implement effective automation strategies. You will apply your expertise to help us accelerate the delivery of high-quality software while reducing manual testing efforts and ensure seamless production deployments, and trouble-free integration of solutions. Very importantly, you will also anticipate post-production issues once solutions are “in the wild” due to technology or environmental changes and work with support teams to address such issues before they become showstoppers.
Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing the QE Strategy to enhance Test Efficiency & Speed by using various Test Automation techniques across the Products.
How You'll Succeed:
The Primary Position Responsibilities are as follows:

Design, develop, maintain and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, WebDriverIO, JUnit, or similar.

Create and manage automated test suites for functional, regression, and integration testing.

Collaborate with Product Owner / Business Analyst and Development teams to understand testing requirements and identify areas for automation.

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous testing throughout the development lifecycle.

Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with developers to ensure timely resolution of issues.

Conduct code reviews for test scripts and ensure adherence to best practices in automation.

Develop and maintain test data, environments, and configurations required for automated testing.

Continuously evaluate and improve test automation frameworks and processes to enhance efficiency and coverage.

Document and report on test automation activities, including test plans, test scripts, and test results.

Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in test automation and apply them to improve our processes.

Research, recommend, and implement new testing technologies and practices, such as incorporating machine learning.

Author, maintain and execute relevant standard operating processes following Lilly quality management system (QMS) processes.
What You Should Bring:
-
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team building skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple business and technical teams.
-
Attention to detail and ability to identify, isolate and document defects.
-
Strong knowledge of SDLC/STLC, Agile practices and experience with Agile planning tools (e.g., Jira).
-
Proven experience as a QA Engineer with a focus on test automation.
-
Strong proficiency in automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG, Appium, Puppeteer, Playwright etc.).

Strong Experience in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or similar.
-
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions etc.) and version control systems (e.g., GitHub).

Experience in testing APIs and web services using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.

Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Jira X-Ray, Qtest, Quality Center).
Basic Qualifications:
-
Bachelors degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
-
7 or more years software quality assurance and/or testing experience.
Additional Information:

Remote option for non-local candidates.

Local candidates will be on a hybrid work model at the Lilly Corporate Center in Indianapolis.

Lilly currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from between $63,750 to $162,000 and will depend, in part, on the successful candidate’s qualifications for the role, including education and experience. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance). In addition, Lilly offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees, including eligibility to participate in a company-sponsored 401(k); pension; vacation benefits; eligibility for medical, dental, vision and prescription drug benefits; flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts); life insurance and death benefits; certain time off and leave of absence benefits; and well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program, fitness benefits, and employee clubs and activities). Of course, the compensation described above is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described above.
