Product Safety Operations Manager
Job Description
- Represent Trust & Safety across a range of internal and external stakeholders and product teams, and be a strong partner in ensuring Safety-driven approaches to product development
- Manage a small but mighty team of Trust & Safety specialists. Drive accountability in their day to day moderation work, and empower them to inform strategy for a growing slate of product surfaces via their project work
- Ensure a tight feedback loop between users and our product and policy teams, by distilling trends from user reports and content moderator input about new products, and by delivering insights and suggestions to relevant stakeholders
- Assess different moderation strategies and resourcing needs, and continually prioritize where resources are deployed, to support safety efforts throughout the launch and expansion of new product features
- Work closely with our workforce strategy and scaled operations team, as well as cross-functional stakeholders, to build processes for supporting new products. Ship new or bespoke processes to steady-state, operational maturity
- 3-5+ years work experience in project and/or program management, strategy or related roles
- 2+ years people management experience, or demonstrated ability and interest in people management
- Strong experience working on product development and/or partnering with technical/engineering teams to launch new features
- Analytical backbone in the face of uncertainty––you're comfortable building models and forecasting outcomes based on limited information
- You proactively overcome obstacles and keep projects moving forward
- A background in Trust & Safety work or a strong interest in online harm mitigation--you've seen how seemingly safe features are abused by bad actors, and understand tradeoffs and risk that come with launching new features
- Strong stakeholder management skills––you're adept at improving processes you don't directly own, and know how to leverage the skills of multiple disparate teams
- You can efficiently and effectively present ideas, updates and results to key stakeholders at various level
- Experience in process mapping with tools (ex. Lucidchart)
- Experience with SQL
- Demonstrated interest in safety and/or responsible innovation initiatives
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $145,000 to $158,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
