What you'll do
- Responsible for development of the Long Products Performance Modules in the USA & Canada.
- Works directly with General Managers and Sales Managers in the development and ongoing update of the LP strategic plan for USA & Canada with an emphasis on Performance Modules.
- Ascertains LP customer requirements, evaluate feasibility, develops solution to meet customer's requirements
- Supports the preparation of proposals/quotations including scope of supply, cost estimates, technical specifications and proposal drawings with an emphasis on electrical equipment and automation.
- Supports LP equipment reconditioning/manufacturing business.
- Provide onsite technical assistance and sales support to customers as it relates to LP Performance Module components.
- Work directly with other Product Specialists in the expansion of LP technical support and business development.
- Interaction with respective Product Managers from OEM, Zurich and Italy with periodic training and meetings in Zurich and/or Italy.
- Provide project and field service oversight, managing customer projects/expectations with an emphasis on sales/business development.
- Provide plans for development of additional business opportunities and product growth.
- Expected travel, 25% to 30%
What you'll need
- BS-ME/EE - or 5+ years relevant long products equipment experience.
- Broad knowledge and experience in the long products steel industry generally gained after 5+ years and successive progression through the industry
- Requires strong working knowledge of LP process, operations, maintenance, engineering
- Requires travel to USA & Canada market established accounts.
- Demonstrated prior success in achieving results using team driven philosophies
- Demonstrated proficiency in supporting corporate interest from remote site locations and ability to communicate and exercise very positive people skills.
