Product Specialist

Job Description

BITCO Corporation, headquartered in Davenport, Iowa, is seeking a Product Specialist to join our Business Services team at our home office in Davenport, IA.BITCO provides quality insurance services to special industries including construction, forest products and oil gas.

Position Summary :

This position plays a key role developing and implementing department-wide training as well as providing product support of systems utilized by the Business Services Support units. This includes developing training materials, training others, and serving as the product expert for new products introduced to the unit.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain current internal training material for daily functions of each unit.
• Create and maintain training courses and outlines.
• Work alongside IT on the research, development, and implementation of new products or initiatives to the BITCO user base.
• Develop and maintain training manuals for new products.
• Provide training to users on new products both internally and externally.
• Train other system legacy functionality.
• Participate in both internal audits and external audits and submit timely information upon request.
• Provide support to BITCO staff as well as external customer (agents/customers).
• Maintain cohesive relationship with other departments at BITCO as well as branch office staff, both underwriting and claims.
• Take on additional tasks and projects as business needs require.

Qualifications:

• Previous Property/Casualty Commercial Lines Insurance experience required
• Knowledge of ISO (Insurance Services Offices) / NCCI (Workers' Compensation) regulations required
• Intimate knowledge of business processes and technology used at BITCO; minimum of 5 years of experience working in BITCO's Business Services department required
• Have an understanding and working knowledge of each Line of Business (LOB), BITCO's underwriting programs, and program divisions
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work with all levels of an organization
• Proven ability to stay organized and meet deadlines
• Consistent level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
