What you'll do:

Product & Strategy internship duties may include:

  • The general duties of this intern will be to gain a solid understanding of the Group Benefits industry, the business practices within OneAmerica's Employee Benefits organization, and how the Product team functions within that structure. This work will include the consumption of industry and competitive intelligence reports, as well meeting with stakeholders in sales, marketing, underwriting, claims, and other departments in order to better understand our audience, value proposition, and how we go to market in comparison to other group carriers. The work will include ownership of a critical deliverable within one of our high-impact strategic initiatives, culminating in a capstone presentation regarding those efforts and the outcome. Some skills to be used/developed throughout include presentation, project management, communication, reporting & documentation, networking, and strategic thinking.

Additional Details:

  • 11-week paid summer internship (May - August)
  • 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
  • All work is expected to be hybrid, mandatory 2 days in office.
  • Housing or stipends are available for eligible candidates.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited institution towards a 4-year undergraduate degree
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Completed at least 2 years towards a bachelor's degree.
  • Preferred areas of study include Actuarial Science, Accounting, Finance, Business, or another related subject.
  • Preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
  • Previous work with other collaboration tools, such as Smartsheet, Miro, SharePoint, Teams, and OneNote is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills.

This selected candidate will be expected to work in a Hybrid environment. The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
