The Opportunity

As the company continues to grow we are seeking a Product Support Scientist II, III (Multiple Openings). The Product Support Scientist will be responsible for working both independently and as a team member to lead projects that improve product performance, increase operational efficiency and enhance customer satisfaction. They will also be responsible to define and develop test designs, analyze data and document findings in technical reports. This position may also be responsible for leading raw material validations including the determination of the risk on the process and finished product and authorizing the validation plan and report.

This position is in Rochester, NY.

The Responsibilities

• Leadership of multiple projects concurrently.
• Effectively communicates and presents project status to senior management and cross-functional teams.
• Indirectly assists with achieving organization goals, including those established for scrap, MUV and productivity.
• Partner with cross functional teams as the technical subject matter expert supporting projects related to process and product improvement, supplier material changes and obsolescence.
• Provides technical support for product Lifecycle Management activities

The Individual

• Minimum BS degree in scientific field (Chemistry or Engineering field preferred). Master's degree in scientific field preferred.
• Required Travel:>10% domestic and or international.

Requirements for Level II:

• 3-5 years of relatable experience.
• Familiarity with VITROS MicroSlide/MicroTip products and with VITROS analyzers is highly desired.
• Demonstrated experience leading projects to completion.
• Process Excellence tools or equivalent methodologies.
• Experience in writing technical documents and proficiency with MiniTab (or equivalent) statistical software is preferred.
• Requires the ability to work in a manufacturing environment and flexibility to adjust to changing priorities.

Requirements for Level III:

• 5-7 years of relatable experience.
• Familiarity with VITROS MicroSlide/MicroTip products and with VITROS analyzers is highly desired.
• Demonstrated experience leading projects to completion.
• Process Excellence tools or equivalent methodologies.
• Experience in writing technical documents and proficiency with MiniTab (or equivalent) statistical software is preferred.
