Join us as a Product Support Specialist, Alternative Investments

POSITION SUMMARY

Product Support Specialist works both independently and as part of a global project team supporting Alternative Investment clients. The individual provides technical support to the global Alternatives department by working with department staff and systems personnel in the analysis and support of proposed and existing Alternative fund product applications. S/he assists in the implementation of new applications and participates to complete unit and user testing, user training, and documentation of changes in operational procedures, as well as assists in execution of automation projects.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Analysis and Product Support

  • Support existing user applications including but not limited to the Alts Hub/Infuse workflow collaboration tool.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise from a process and technical perspective on vendor and proprietary platforms.
  • Participate in analyzing and designing technology led solutions to business challenges.
  • Assist in developing business requirements for global Alts applications.
  • Assist in implementing project plans and executing user acceptance testing and providing ongoing support.
  • Participate in training and support, such as creating and updating user guides, during roll-out of new products and enhancements.
  • Assist in ad hoc projects such as annual attestations, risk reviews, workflow analysis etc.

2. Client Service

  • Provide subject matter expertise to client facing business teams as relates to specific systems products and the overall client digital experience as required.

3.Control/Risk Management

  • Proactively manage operational risk by modifying procedures and discussing best practices.

4.Teamwork

  • Seek out and participate in team and interdepartmental projects. Contribute ideas for process improvements.
  • Take part in team training sessions and complete on-line courses which may be relevant to the role.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
  • Proficient working knowledge of English required.
  • 0 to 2 years working experience in any relevant field required.
  • Prior exposure to financial statements, accounting or system related projects is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office including strong Excel skills.
  • Understanding of fund administration and fund accounting operations; knowledge of Private Markets (Hedge Fund, Private Equity) and overall Capital Markets ecosystem.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.
  • Aptitude for understanding global business considerations when implementing new business systems.
  • Ability to work with business users and systems personnel in a team environment.
  • Knowledge and experience preparing and executing test scripts are preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with software spreadsheets, report writer packages, database applications, programming, and establishing quality assurance procedures a plus.
