Purpose of Position
Processes repairs from FSI sites, outside customers and FSS. Tracks and accumulates parts from which simulator repair and modification kits will be originated.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Receive and process all miscellaneous orders and repairs.
- Insure timely incoming and outgoing delivery of repairs.
- Perform syteline transactions necessary for processing orders and repairs.
- Generate required purchase requisitions and internal routing paperwork.
- Research parts/repair statuses as required and provide this information to the appropriate individual, site or customer.
- Place miscellaneous parts orders as identified by SOS staff, field and SOS Design Engineers.
- Maintain the Return Material Authorization database.
- Issue tracking numbers to sites and customers requiring repairs.
- Act as Liaison between the sites and the technicians working repairs.
- Provide status reports to the Product Support Supervisor of repair activity.
- Open job numbers appropriate for support request activity as required by SOS engineering.
- Direct and assist the SOS Expeditor in his/her activities.
- Exhibit and practice professional and courteous behavior while interacting with both internal and external customers.

- Accountable for the control and distribution of documents and or equipment subject to export control restrictions and the security of FSI materials, projects and business information regarding the methods and techniques used in the production and usage of FSI products.
- Accountable for the accuracy and completeness of assigned tasks.
- Able to adhere to a work schedule including prompt and regular attendance.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Minimum Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent, technical training and a minimum of two years' experience in parts procurement and repair administration.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- MRP, database and word processing applications
- Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and fax machines.
- Fluency in English, through both verbal and written communications; able to read, speak, or write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; Able to effectively present information in one on one or small group presentations.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions; Able to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Valid Drivers License, where applicable.
