The Network and Edge group (NEX) at Intel drives the software-defined transformation of the world's infrastructure - in data centers, in networks, and at the edge. We are a team of problem solvers, experimenters, and innovators who are dedicated to designing the network technologies that currently lead and continue to transform data-center and AI ecosystems.

Product Test and Development Engineering team interfaces with manufacturing, design, and quality at Intel and is responsible for ensuring the testability and manufacturability of integrated circuits from the component feasibility stage through production ramp. The team is tasked with the exciting challenges of creating and implementing test methodologies using the latest design-for-test (DFT) capabilities in different areas including Platform/System Test as well as automated test equipment.

Working as a Product Development Engineer within Network and Edge Group you will:

  • Be responsible to enable market specific high-volume manufacturing content, ensuring the Platform testability and manufacturability of integrated circuits for our Internet of Things business group.
  • Leverage expertise in Platform, Tester Hardware setup to perform and enable content debug.
  • Analyze early customer returns with emphasis on driving test hole closure activities.
  • Create and apply concepts for optimizing component production relative to both quality and cost constraints.
  • Help define new product platform test requirements or optimizations for future products.

In this position you will gain invaluable experience which will allow growth and expanded opportunities within this business group as well as future possible opportunities with other business groups within Intel.

Qualifications:

What we need to see (Minimum Qualifications):

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering field with 2+ years of semiconductor testing experience or Master's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering field with 1+ years of semiconductor testing experience with applied testing experience in at least one of the following technical areas:

  • Product or test program development, NPI activities and trouble-shooting issues related to test.
  • Electrical test method, test template and BI/Class/OLx/test program structures.
  • Microprocessor Assembly and Test Engineering (ATE) pre-silicon.
  • Design for Test ( DFT ) hardware testing methods and tools.

How to Stand out (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering field with 6+ years of semiconductor testing experience or Master's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering field with 4+ years of semiconductor testing experience
  • Experience interpreting product data including Class, OLx and PPV data, finding failure root cause and inline indicator and driving solutions.
  • System Level test exposure.
  • Coding experience, C++, Python, Power-BI, SQL
  • BIOS and Firmware skills.
  • Knowledge of different OS architecture and application implementation in Linux, Windows, EFI environments.
  • SOC Architecture and testing
