This is an excellent opportunity to join a high performing team, working on Product and Test Development of the next generation of BMS chips. The designs include industry-leading low power radio transceivers, battery monitoring technology, embedded micro-controllers, and other differentiated analog and digital components, developed in advanced technology nodes. The Product and Test team will be responsible for driving the health and quality of Analog/Mixed Signal BMS products from initial development through high-volume manufacturing.

Job Levels available: Product Engineer, Senior Product Engineer, Staff Product Engineer, Principal Product Engineer, Test Engineer, Senior Test Engineer, Staff Test Engineer, Principal Test Engineer

Minimum Qualification: BSEE/MSEE degree and experience in Product and Test Development - Senior level requires a minimum of 3 years relevant experience, Staff level requires a minimum of 5 years relevant experience, and Principal level requires a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.

Positions Available: Product Engineer, Test Development Engineer. Both to support Analog/Mixed-Signal IC development and production for Automotive battery management products within our Automotive business unit.

PE Duties will include: Product characterization, yield improvement, bench analysis and customer quality management. Interdisciplinary efforts involving design, test, applications, and process groups to drive resolution of outstanding product issues. Responsibility for planning and tracking project schedules and resources and documenting all phases of project development.

PE Desired Skill Set:

  • Knowledge of Analog Circuit Design, Test Techniques, BIPOLAR and CMOS, Process and Device Physics, Packaging processes and its impact on final device performance.
  • Design and develop component-level hardware for IC reliability stress.
  • Evaluate customer returns w/ bench & FA analysis. Determine containment & corrective actions
  • Involved in multiple phases of a product life: Provide DFM / DFT inputs, Characterization, Manufacturing Release, Cost reduction, Yield analysis, Continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis tools.
  • Lab environment (understanding and operation of multi-meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies).
  • Programming (labview, C#, VB).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

TE Duties will include: Design of component-level circuits for precision parametric measurements. Development of automated test system solutions on analog and mixed-signal automatic test equipment. Involvement in all phases of product development including design for testability, test hardware and software design, debug, characterization, and release to manufacturing. Responsibility for planning and tracking project schedules and resources and documenting all phases of project development.

TE Desired Skill Set:

  • Knowledge of statistical methods and data analysis tools.
  • Strong programming skills. Experience with C, C++ or VBA.
  • Component-level circuit design skills.
  • Good hardware and software trouble-shooting skills.
  • Working knowledge of common lab equipment (Oscilloscope, Power Supplies, DVM)
  • Familiarity with digital interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, scan, etc) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, on Analog and digital circuits
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
