Production Assistant

Position Purpose

A Production Assistant in the Global Studio Media department has a passionate interest in creative media production. As an outward facing liaison with clients and others, they should have good people skills, and practice proper email and phone etiquette. As an inward facing facilitator making sure details are handled and Associate Producers, Producers, Executive Producers, Vice Presidents and their projects are supported.

Essential Responsibilities/Accountabilities

The Production Assistant must possess many key qualities, these include: strong, clear communication skills; the ability to be assertively pro-active; being capable of deep collaboration in a team environment; have a high-level of organizational ability; be precise with details; prioritize and juggle multiple asks simultaneously; and demonstrate a proper sense of urgency. Strong writing skills are also a must for assistance with pitch proposals and other tasks.

The Production Assistant is the traffic manager for assets entering and leaving the company. This is a crucial role, demanding a high level of discretion and operational confidentiality, with extensive interfacing with the Director of Post Production and Editorial staff.
The Production Assistant is a key position, and the go-to person that producers look to for help.

• Office Management: Proficient in managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate databases. Experience with office software suites like Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
• Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and keep projects on track. 
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: Highly detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy. Ability to follow through on tasks and ensure projects are completed to a high standard.
• Teamwork: Collaborative and team-oriented with a positive and helpful attitude. Thrives in a fast-paced environment and adapts to changing priorities.
• Learning Agility: Eager to learn new skills and processes. Adaptable and willing to take on new challenges related to production workflows. 
  

Minimum Qualifications

• 2+ years of direct or related experience
• HS diploma/GED required with College Degree preferred or prior, related professional experience.
• Experience with Google Suite or MS Office Suite
• Experience with project management tools such as Asana, preferred
• Ability to work onsite in the Burbank, California office

Salary range 

• $45,000 - $55,000
