Production Cutter

Who We Are:

Production Cutter:

This position is responsible for performing cutter duties in a professional, responsible and precise manner This position is also responsible for maintaining and organizing the materials in the cutting room while exhibiting the highest level of technical skill and professionalism and for both internal and external colleagues.

Responsibilities:

• Precise hand cutting of single and/or production garments.
• Proactively provide ideas
• Manage day to day responsibilities in a professional, positive, efficient and confidential manner.
• Function as back-up for other Cutter in their respective assignment(s)
• Check for fabric nap and shading
• Place wax paper on any styles that require it
• Train and mentor less experienced cutters.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of job-related experience is required.
• Knowledgeable about fabric codes. Etc. single boarders, one ways, etc
• Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.
• Proven experience and the ability to accept responsibility, exercise a high degree of initiative, good judgment, and make decisions within the scope of assigned authority.
• Must be able to prioritize and work under pressure; a team player. Incumbent must be able to keep projects moving while working on multiple projects designated by supervisor.
• Must have knowledge of grain lines.
• Must have understanding of material reactions.
• Must have experience using a cutting wheel as well as a utility knife.
• Strong organization skills, technical detail orientation and efficient follow-up processes.
• Sense of urgency in completing tasks in a timely manner and meet deadlines.
• Exude self-confidence, professional presence and enthusiasm
• Complies with highest standards of business ethics.
