Production Manager

Job Summary:

We’re seeking a Production Manager to join our in-house production team. The Production Manager will support the Marketing team to produce high-quality content within an accelerated time frame. The role requires a highly-organized and detail-oriented individual who can lead a team of producers, coordinators, and external crew. The ideal candidate is a seasoned expert in both photo and video production. Ruggable is based in Gardena, CA and the job requires someone who lives in the Los Angeles area.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage day-to-day creative production operations, clearly communicate changes to calendar and deliverables, stay on target with budgets, project scope, and timelines. 
• A successful candidate will be an expert communicator; able to navigate competing priorities, allocate resources appropriately, and effectively clear roadblocks.
• Optimize existing workflows and develop new SOPs to eliminate bottlenecks.
• Ability to present to stakeholders, clients, and external agencies.
• Have an established network of world-class creative, production and post-production collaborators and the ability to organize collaborators to bring projects to life.
• Lead a production team that is highly adaptable and nimble; able to build a team of skilled contractors to increase team capacity. 
• Manage/mentor our in-house production team. Lead training efforts and guideline creation.

What You’ll Need to Have:

• 5+ years of creative production experience — in-house brand or creative agency, specifically someone who has experience in targeted advertising. 
• Enthusiasm, strong leadership, and a proven ability to motivate teams as well as prioritize work from multiple stakeholders.
• Must be able to manage multiple teams and multiple projects in a fast paced environment, and be a strong communicator with offsite teams.
• Must have specialized knowledge of film permits, insurance requirements, usage negotiation, and managing large-scale projects.
• Effective problem-solving and strategic decision-making — ability to limit project scope creep and cost overruns.
• Excellent planning and organization skills; attention to detail and ability to anticipate needs.
• Willing to travel and attend shoots, domestic and international.
• Must have a reel/portfolio available for producing that includes multiple digital platforms and formats.
• Proficiency in Google G Suite, Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Frame.io.
• Prior experience in project management and/or workflow optimization. Knowledge of Asana is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Compensation:

• This is a full time, benefits eligible role
• The salary range is 100k - 125k annually
• 3% contribution to 401k for all employees
• Hybrid schedule: 2-3 days a week on site in Gardena, CA
