Duties and Responsibilities

• Plans production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products
• Prepares operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meet specifications
• Controls raw materials usage and component part salvage
• Prepares production and operating reports
• Maintains quality system (i.e. tester rejects, QS audits)
• Resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays
• Ensures the inspection of machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilization
• Enforces conformance to standard operational and working practices and observes workers to ensure compliance with standards: attendance, work rules, safety and cleanliness
• Resolves worker grievances or submits unsettled grievances to the operational manager for action
• Compiles, stores, and retrieves production data
• Manages learning plans of direct reports
• Initiates rewards and recognition of high performing employees and conducts performance appraisals on direct reports
• Other duties as assigned
