Production Manager

Job Summary

Leads and coordinates activities of the Drum Production Department to meet organizational objectives in the areas of productivity, quality, employee relations, safety, continuous improvement and equipment utilization.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assignment and coordination of Production Associates and Supervisors.
• Ensures equipment operation in compliance with established procedures and goals.
• Training of Production Associates and Supervisors.
• Leads continuous improvement, APS activities and MRO activities.
• Promotes and maintains good working relationships with assigned groups.
• Responsible for safety, quality and productivity objectives.
• Responsible for reviewing all disciplinary actions.
• Assists in scheduling and capacity planning.
• Maintains accurate records for production, attendance, and quality.
• Supports ABE's Quality System and Loss Control/Safety Programs through active involvement.
• Assist in managing business plan accounts for the department.
• Assist Operations Manager during absence from the plant.

Qualifications and Skills

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelors degree preferred or experience in lieu of degree.
• 10 years of manufacturing experience required.
• 2 years of leadership experience required.
