OnsiteThe Production Manager will lead a team of approximately 30 - 40 team members and 1 support staff employee. The role will support the shared service(s) used by the site, to include but not limited to, selective solder, water wash, ICT, and the chemical pharmacies. This person will need to strategically position the teams under them to support the production lines. Additionally, this role will be a key member of the CORE site initiatives in shared service(s) to optimize and increase output. Reporting and coordinating with internal customers concurrently to working daily with Quality, Engineering, and Finance to ensure proper procedures are followed.This role will be performed onsite at our Collins location in Cedar Rapids, IA.What You Will Do:

- Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of assembly professionals. Foster a collaborative environment that promotes teamwork, innovation, and high performance.
- Operational Execution: Oversee the daily operations of the assembly department, ensuring that production schedules are met and quality standards are maintained. Manage resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment, to optimize productivity and efficiency.
- Performance Metrics & Reporting: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track department performance. Analyze production data and generate reports to identify trends, address issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion and drive lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance process efficiency and reduce waste. Lead initiatives for process improvements, cost reductions, and quality enhancements.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements. Promote a culture of safety and compliance within the department, conducting regular audits and inspections.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless integration of processes and resolve any cross-functional issues.
- Project Management: Lead and support projects aimed at upgrading assembly processes, introducing new technologies, and expanding production capabilities. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
- Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence background preferred.
- Prior supervisor leadership experience preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory practices, production processes, quality control, costs, process improvement, and other lean techniques for maximizing the effectiveness of operations.
- Working experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Excel) and SAP

This role is also eligible for the Re-Empower Program.
