Production Supervisor

Position Overview:

Solid Power is seeking a Production Supervisor to join our talented team working to revolutionize the battery industry through the development of next generation, all solid-state rechargeable batteries. Solid Power is a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative team environment. This position will be a part of the powder production team for the transition of Solid Power’s current electrolyte production technology to mass production. The Production Supervisor will be responsible for supervising a team of powder production operators to maximize production output, while maintaining thorough documentation and a safe work environment.

Job Duties:

• Directly supervise a team of powder production operators & oversee daily powder production operations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement toward the optimization of our powder products.
• Train incoming production operators on proficient powder production operations.
• Provide regular powder production updates and reports to the Powder Production Manager.
• Actively engage in talent management through optimization of hiring and team member deployment.
• Document and follow standard operating procedures for Solid Power’s production equipment.
• Maintain production equipment, workspace, and dry room in proper working conditions by following provided maintenance schedules.
• Be able to function effectively in a safety driven environment with product quality being a tremendous focus.
• Contribute to SOPs, CPs, and WI as well as help to drive towards 5S in production areas.
• Collaborate with other departments and cross functional team members.
• Assist in Process Hazard Analysis and contribute to the implementation of appropriate layers of safety protocol to comply with OSHA and PSM standards.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• 5+ years of supervisor experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience working with hazardous materials, dry powder processes, and wet chemical/slurry and solvent-based operations.
• Clean room experience is a plus.
• Experience running milling equipment is preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• The candidate must be responsible and self-motivated, with a history of stable employment and performance.
• Hard work, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn new things will help the candidate excel in this position.
• Dependability is a must.

Salary Range: $54,000 - $95,000/annually
