Production Supervisor

Title: Production Supervisor

Position Type: Full-Time

Pay Range: $95,000.00 - $125,000.00 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data)

About the role: We are looking a Production Supervisor that will support one of the following programs:

• INCUS: NASA has selected Tendeg to deliver four Ka-band deployable antennas for a new Earth science mission called Investigation of Convective Updrafts (INCUS) that will study the behavior of tropical storms and thunderstorms, including their impacts on weather and climate models. https://www.jpl.nasa.gov/news/nasa-selects-new-mission- to-study-storms-impacts-on-climate-models
• 2-axis Gimbal Antennas: Tendeg has multiple contracts to develop, fabricate, test and deliver flight units for deployable high gain antennas from X-band to Q/V-band. These are for sensor and communication missions for LEO, MEO and lunar applications.
• Perimeter Truss Reflectors: Tendeg has multiple contracts to deliver large aperture antennas for GEO communications, SAR, and national security missions.

What you'll do:

• Supervise all aspects of production.
• Effective utilization of resources to meet production schedule and on-time delivery.
• Creative and proactive problem solving to overcome production delays.
• Coordinate with other departments such as program management, production planning, procurement, quality, and engineering to ensure the production team has what it needs to succeed.
• Facilitate the training of production employees. Ensure they are provided with all the necessary tools and training to do the job safely and effectively.
• Encourage and facilitate employee cross training and development.
• Oversee safety and organization of the production area.
• Supervise production personnel and monitor employee performance. Provide frequent constructive feedback to employees to encourage continued improvement.
• Conduct personnel performance reviews every twelve months.
• Work with your management chain for hiring, disciplinary action, and terminations within the production department.
• Coordinate all labor and materials in production.
• Administer company policies. Maintain open communication with Human Resources regarding application of these policies and any personnel issues within the department.
• Regularly lift 30 lbs. of raw materials or machine parts with or without accommodation
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Key job requirements:

• High school diploma or GED Equivalent and at least 5 years of relevant experience
  
  • A higher-level degree may substitute for experience.
  • Relevant work experience may substitute for required education.
• 4 year technical degree desired (BSME, BS Industrial Engineering, or similar)
• Ability to understand and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications.
• Experience with corrective action planning.
• Previous management or lead experience; the ability to recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
• Experience in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment.
• Thorough understanding and experience with the practical application of manufacturing principles.
• Experience with ERP systems a plus.
