Production Support Engineer

We are looking for an experienced, technical, Production Support Engineer to help improve, troubleshoot and support incidents and outages for our growing product. 

What you'll be doing

Working hand in hand with our engineering and management teams to oversee all things pertinent to the delivery of numerous applications. In this role, you will be responsible for providing our VA customers with on-call support to major incidents/outages and helping resolve issues. In this role you will be assisting engineers with solutions for product development and debug any issues. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Worked with technical requests that are filed by end users of the product or system (Tier 3 development support).
• Troubleshoot and resolve errors, and develop and deploy hotfixes as needed.
• Provide customers with 24/7 after-hours on call support to incidents/outages, including weekends and holidays.
• Experience in debugging and correcting errors in computer programs
• Collaborating with the engineers on product development
• Knowledge of Java, Node.js/javascript and Rails
• Must have experience working within VA Enterprise Cloud (VAEC), building an API infrastructure that includes a Java-based Veterans Health Information System Technology Architecture integration.

Must be located in the US

This is a salaried role. Oddball does offer tech, and a continuing education stipend.

This role may be required to obtain a low level government clearance.
