Role Summary
Responsible for unpacking trim in bulk, packaging to support production, label packaging to Standardized work and discarding trash within the trim packaging process.
Key Responsibilities

• Displays a positive attitude towards safety, works safely and follows all the Company's safety policies and procedures
• Inspect trailer for safety concerns and report all findings before starting the decant process.
• Remove material in groups by part number.
• Scan and package material in standard pack size to Standardized Work.
• Tear down and build internal packaging within the allowed space.
• Move, stack and/or pallet jack material to staging areas for pick up.
• Reports all unsafe and unhealthy conditions or acts to management immediately.
• Maintain stock in an organized fashion and on a first in-first out (FIFO) basis.
• Assists with monthly physical inventories and cycle counts.
• Works in a manner that promotes teamwork among fellow employees.
• Completes all paperwork associated with the job assignment in an accurate and timely manner.
• Reports injuries, accidents, illnesses, near misses and property damage immediately to your Supervisor.
• Complies with all Health, Safety and Environmental standards in accordance with the Magna Employee Charter, the Occupational Health & Safety Act. and the Michigan Occupational Health & Safety Act.

• Education/Certification/Licensure: Powered Industrial Truck Permit (requires a passing score on the Powered Industrial Truck training tests administered by Magna Seating Auburn Hills).

Able to follow Standardized work and meet required cycle times. Detailed oriented and good documentation skills. Ability to work independently under general supervision. Demonstrated ability to operate material handling equipment (i.e. pallet jack, gondola, tugger, lift truck).
