Job Description:
Within the Controllership function, the Professional of MIS supports the MIS team for the administration of:
- Software platforms and programs principally used by Finance and Accounting (F&A) for internal / external financial reporting and budgeting
- Systems changes and related controls within the Company's global general ledger
- Application tools supporting increased automation within the F&A function
Specific responsibilities and duties include the following:
- Ensures the reliability, ongoing functionality, system security, scripting and necessary backups for key financial reporting and planning tools, including Oracle, FCCS, Essbase and Workiva. Assists new users with requisite training / roll-out in the use of these tools and as changes occur.
- Implements and performs user acceptance testing (UAT) of changes to the reporting and planning tools, including scenario modelling and alternate data cubes to accommodate business changes (corporate reorganizations, re-segmentations, rolls-ups, tax reporting needs, re-forecasts and annual budget models / allocations)
- Performs month-to-month maintenance of specified software applications to address recurring changes such as modifications to legal entity structure, reporting unit roll-ups, chart of accounts and cost centers
- Consolidates financial results and ensure the systems are refreshed appropriated during the month-end close cycles that data validation occurs across systems
Skills Required:
- Strong financial systems aptitude
- A collaborative and continuous learning mindset
- Understanding of SOX financial control framework (theory and practice)
- Excellent communication (oral and written presentation) skills
- Ability to interact with personnel of all levels
- Can multi-task and works well under pressure / with time-sensitive deadlines
Experience:
- B.S. Degree in Business Administration (Finance/Accounting/MIS preferred)
- 3+ total years in financial analysis, technical accounting, financial reporting and/or MIS roles
- Multi-entity, multi-national, complex environments using ERP systems, preferred
- Public company reporting / SOX controls experience, preferred
