Amplify is seeking a Professional Development Strategist to build, and iterate on, comprehensive PD plans in partnership with district partners. The PD Strategist will assist the district with change management and will be the point of contact for implementation support in close partnership and collaboration with the account's Customer Success Manager. They will work to build capacity within the district with the end goal of a self-sustaining implementation.

The Professional Development Strategist will report to the Associate Director of Professional Development for STEM. The PD Strategist will support district partners of varying levels of service delivery with implementations of core, supplemental, and assessment programming including: developing a multi-year, district-wide professional development strategy, advising district leaders on key pedagogical questions and change management considerations, and conducting district-wide program reviews.
Location: Regional and national travel required. Regional states include HI, KS, KY, ME, ND, NE, NH, OK, RI, SD, VT, WY and portions of other states as required
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy:
  • Act as the single point of contact for PD-related support post-sale (CSM to support on non-PD related topics and coordinate)
  • Partner with AD and Regional Lead to create initial PD Plan proposal, refining based on customer feedback; engage on execution
  • Support expansion of Amplify product usage. Partner with Regional Lead to identify expansion opportunities, to be jointly presented to Sales for consideration to drive upsell

IMPLEMENTATION + DELIVERY
  • In partnership with the Regional Lead of PD and AD of PD for STEM
  • Analyze training feedback from partners / PD participants as well as district-level implementation data to inform practice and next steps
  • Provide consultation to support implementation (e.g., modeling science instruction)
  • Coach and prepare Professional Learning Specialists (PLSs) for session delivery to managed accounts
  • Work with designers to customize training materials for strategic engagements
  • Support regional leads on complicated implementations

DAY-TO-DAY OPERATIONS + MANAGEMENT:
  • Oversee project management (scoping, budgeting, delivery) of PD engagements
  • Collaborate with Product & PD teams to understand upcoming content offerings & feature releases
  • Support pre-sales discussion (written proposals/RFPs), act as the primary point of contact for all PD-related questions post-sales with accounts that have a PD Strategist assigned
  • Strategic consultation on implementation plan with ADs and coordination / support of PLS prep

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience
  • 5+ years of K-8 classroom teaching experience in Science or Math
  • Experience (at scale) designing and delivering professional development sessions and helping educators adopt new practices.
  • Experience developing and managing large-scale projects in an education setting, including creating detailed plans, forecasting and meeting deadlines, and maintaining a budget.
  • Experience analyzing project feedback data and using it to inform implementation next steps
  • Demonstrated proficiency of technology integration in workshops and in the classroom
  • Demonstrated proficiency in use of technology-based productivity tools such as Microsoft, Google Applications, etc...)
  • Ability to travel regionally and nationally (per travel policy) Amplify's COVID-19 Policy requires full vaccination for all travel and in-person meetings.

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience as an Instructional Leader and/or Curriculum Developer across a district or network of schools
  • Biliteracy a plus (Spanish)
  • Experience delivering PD at Amplify or using Amplify products [Amplify Science or Math] as an educator or administrator
  • Experience with hiring, onboarding, and managing teams of people

WHAT WE OFFER:
Salary is only one component of the Amplify Total Rewards package, which includes a lucrative 401(k) plan, incentive stock options, competitive health insurance and mental health options, basic life insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and access to best-in-class development programs. The gross salary range for this role is $85,000.00 - $95,000.00. This role is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
