Due to recent growth, we are seeking a to hire a Professional Engineer (Civil) to join our team to assist in certifying documents and obtaining our contractors licenses.

Responsibilities:

• Act as PE for organization business licensing purposes
• Review civil plans
• Review testing reports and photo documentation
• Seal/Certify stormwater facility installation as-builts
• Seal/Certify stormwater maintenance reports
• Seal/Certify performance bond reduction applications
• Seal/Certify other civil related documents as needed
• Study and test for civil contractor license in numerous mid-Atlantic states with the possibility of more states in the future, on behalf of the company
• Attending pre-bid meetings on behalf of the company, as needed
• Submit bids in person on behalf of the company, as needed

Qualifications:

• Licensed P.E., huge if a P.E. in VA, DC and MD or willingness to become a P.E. in VA, MD and DC. Ideally have a P.E. (or willing to obtain) in all of the following states:
  • DC
  • MD
  • VA
  • WV
  • PA
  • NC
  • DE
• Must be legal to work for any U.S. Employer (i.e., citizenship, green card holder etc.) No sponsorships will be offered for this full-time position.
• Minimum of 1-year experience in either civil design/engineering, transportation planning/engineering, geotechnical engineering or civil construction/materials testing, or some other design related discipline associated with land development or real estate development projects
• Basic understanding of or desire to learn the basics of how the land development design process works
• Experience in land development projects (to some capacity) is highly preferred.
