Position Summary

Work with 4G / 5G 3GPP technologies. Provide technical reviews and support to customers as needed.

Role and Responsibilities

Work with 4G / 5G 3GPP technologies. Provide technical reviews and support to customers as needed. Provide debug log analysis, check network configuration, and support customer as needed. Work with wireless network architecture, protocols, RF optimization and standards. Review various Engineering and Operational MOPs and provide feedback. Create and implement MOPS, knowledge based articles, and how to procedures. Review and provide updates and resolutions on open tickets before escalation to Tier-2. Work with wireless network deployments, installation and commissioning process. Responsible for development of product requirements, feature requirements, systems and performance analysis, conduct deep-dive customer sessions on 4G/5G call-processing related features and air interface technologies. Responsible for leading all technical discussions on Samsung products/scheduler related features with several customer vertical organization including 4G/5G RAN Development groups and RAN performance groups. Analyze and troubleshoot schedule related issues reported from customer labs, field sites, and production networks. Continuous improvement of LTE RAN network performance by evaluating and trending key performance indicators and performance trials.

Skills and Qualifications

Master's Degree in Computer Networks, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications and Networks Engineering, a related field, or a foreign equivalent, plus 2 years post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or related. In Lieu of a Master's Degree and 2 years of experience, Employer is willing to accept a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Networks, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications and Networks Engineering, a related field, or a foreign equivalent, plus 5 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or related. Applicants must have 2 years of experience (5 years of experience in possession of a relevant Bachelor's Degree) in the following: (1) telecommunications engineering; (2) 3GPP RAN product architecture, design, implementation and performance improvements (KPIs); (3) wireless technology & procedures including CDMA/EVDO/LTE/Volte and 5G; (4) System engineering activities including feature requirements identification, feature description documentation, parameter optimization, performance analysis, test strategy creation, and problem troubleshooting; (5) RF antenna technologies & network optimizations; and (6) 4G/5G RAN Network Technical Support. 20% domestic travel required.
