Essential Job Functions
- Interface with customers and vendors as required for shop floor device network connectivity, application/control system implementation and operational support.
- Collaborate with internal "customers" to discuss and document their application and control system requirements.
- Design and create custom business applications to collect, analyze and report data critical to plant operations.
- Analyze shop floor application/control system incidents and debug and/or repair as necessary.
- Modify custom and vendor applications to accommodate new functionality needed to satisfy compliance or business requirements.
- Convert legacy software applications to current technologies (e.g., Visual Basic to VB.net) or upgrade SCADA/control systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, GE).
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in Manufacturing Operations is highly desired. Knowledge of basic manufacturing principles is required.
- Proficient in a programming language (.NET, C#, java or python) and/or process control systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, GE, Siemens)
- Experience with Oracle and SQL Server is a plus, including writing SQL queries and stored procedures in Oracle or SQL Server.
- Understanding of networking concepts, architecture and tools is required.

Work Environment
- Must work onsite in Middletown, CT
