Professional Security Analyst

Job Summary:

The Alert Logic Professional Security Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the best security posture for our partners and customers. This will be achieved by building strong relationships with their security personnel and leaders, understanding their level of security maturity, goals, capabilities, and making targeted recommendations for continuous, measurable security posture improvement.

The Professional Security Analyst will be expected to demonstrate their expertise with Alert Logic products and services and providing security guidance that brings the highest value to our customers.

Responsibilities:

• To work closely with our partners and customers, building strong relationships with key security personnel and leaders, and gain their respect as a trusted security advisor
• To develop and improve knowledge base articles (KBAs), and other operational documentation for the benefit of our customers and internal teams.

• Work with Security Operations Center colleagues and other technical teams to ensure that customer queries are addressed promptly and according to Standard Operating Procedures, Customer Management Processes, and always with the intent to provide World Class Customer Service
• Contribute to the continuous development of the team through documentation, direct training, and external training recommendations.

• Influence the prioritization of other teams' tasks to ensure prompt resolution of customer affecting issues such as bugs, defects, and feature requests.
• Work with SOC Leadership to ensure that team members are appropriately coached and mentored.
  • Be an ambassador for Alert Logic in customer meetings, both physical and virtual including client visits, SOC tours, conferences, review calls, and customer orientations.
  • Maintain familiarity with Alert Logic's ever growing and improving catalog of products and services.
  • Be a mentor to newer and junior members of the team
  • Produce customer-facing reports and guidance documentation

The Professional Security Analyst should display technical expertise in each of the following areas:

• Risk Management & Compliance
  • • Know how to apply security governance principles
    • Familiarity with typical business compliance requirements and assessments
    • Understanding of vulnerability management and strategies
    • Understanding of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery principles
  • Cloud and Datacenter Operations
    • General understanding of server architecture
    • Network security configurations and controls
    • Standard processes for securing data
    • Familiarity with Identity and Access Management
  • Security Operations
    • Understanding of logging and monitoring processes
    • Familiarity with IDS/IPS solutions, incident management and response
    • Familiarity with SIEM, SOAR, MDR solutions.
    • Familiarity with asset management and vulnerability management solutions

Training and Certification Requirements

• • Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry relevant work experience
  • 2 years' experience in Security Operations or IT Operations with a security focus
  • Intermediate Cloud Architecture and/or Security Certification (AWS Preferred)
