Cennox is currently seeking a remote Professional Service Software Engineer to design, develop, and support software solutions that are the backbone to our company’s success. This full-time position offers insurance and 401k benefits, and the chance to become part of a rapidly growing company.

Position Summary:
The Professional Service Software Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and support of software solutions. This person will have a passion for technology and the keen ability to share that passion with both IT and non-IT professionals. In this role, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality solutions to our clients, leveraging your expertise in software development and project management.
Duties and Responsibilities:

• Execute full lifecycle software development
• Develop well-designed, testable, efficient code
• Provide ongoing maintenance, support, and enhancements in existing systems and platforms
• Deploy software and evaluate user feedback
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, product managers, and project managers
• Participate in collaborative problem-solving sessions and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
• Work alongside the IT team to elevate technology and consistently apply best practices
• Aid others whenever possible

Skill Required:

• Hands-on software development and data design
• Solid user interface design related to web and mobile development
• Creating software that works, is reliable, testable, and maintainable
• Desire to continue learning innovative technologies and apply the best solution to the problem
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Experience and Education:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field-or equivalent experience
• Experience with Java, required
• Experience in web development using frameworks such as Spring MVC, required
• Experience with mobile development, preferred
• Experience with SQL database servers, preferred
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud environments, preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Vision correctable to 20/ 20
• Finger dexterity for keyboarding and computer usage
• Ability to sit and stay focused for long periods of time
