Overview:

The Professional Services Engineer (PSE) is a technical bridge between our Account Representatives, Sales Engineers, their customers and post-sales Support. The PSE will take ownership of delivering ordered services to Trend Micro Customers. The Professional Services Engineer will also assist the Regional Technical leader in securing pre sales opportunities that require Trend Micro Software Installation or services when applicable through scoping calls. Proactively managing and delivering technical information to our customers both onsite or online remotely.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Install and configure Trend Micro's Software and Hardware according to best practices
• Enable customers through remote online trainings, knowledge sharing and mentoring, when required
• Perform health checks and validate customer's implementation of Trend Micro's Software and Hardware
• Provides system and networking assessment to very large enterprise customers prior to the implementation process
• Maintain and expand working knowledge of current and beta Trend Micro products
• Share best practices with other PSEs and SEs to enhance quality of service and efficiency
• Channel feature requests from customer interaction to Product Management to enhance Trend Micro's products
• Create and maintain product deployment training collateral such as guides, presentations, and scoping questionnaires
• Identify ways to automate common procedures, draft requirements for tools/scripts, and develop such utilities
• Travel (about 20-30%) for customer deployment and other customer facing activities

Required Qualifications:

• BS degree or combination of: education and pre or post sales experience in Security Software and Systems

Experience/Skills:

• Sales Engineering and/or professional services experience preferred
• Experience with reviewing log files, system logs and network analysis
• Experience working with various Microsoft software and systems
• Experience generating ad-hoc software tools and utilities using common script or programming languages such as Python, Bash, PERL, Windows PowerShell, or Unix/Linux command shells
• Experience creating technical documentation, including product documentation, technology and process best practices, and technical whitepapers
• Experience with various content security products (hardware & software) preferred
• Solid multi-tasking, troubleshooting and problem resolution abilities
• Self-starter and quick learner with desire to continually learn new tools and technologies
• Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, account management and negotiation skills, with the ability to interface with a diverse set of clients

• TCP/IP knowledge combine with a strong networking background
• Routing, Switching, Edge Firewalls, Load Balancing
• LAN/WAN network topologies
• DevOps - Containers, Kubernetes
• Microsoft - Windows, Active Directory, System Center, Exchange, SQL and IIS
• Experience with Linux, PostgreSQL
• Host Based Firewalls, Intrusion Detection and Prevention, File Integrity Monitoring, Antivirus, Data Loss Protection, Endpoint Encryption, E-Mail and Web Gateway Security, e-mail encryption, Penetration Testing, SysLog and SIEM
• VMware vCloud Director experience and familiarity with AWS, Windows Azure, VMware vCloud is a plus
• Citrix XenDesktop and Provisioning Services experience is a plus
