About the Role

  • As Data Product Manager Principal focusing on profitability, you will be part of a team that is obsessed with driving actionable insights by building best-in-class profitability data products that consistently deliver results for our customers, clients, and stakeholders.


  • You will use your extensive of knowledge in Finance and Profitability, to manage relevant data product development from conception to launch, their integration into the greater data ecosystem, and their management post-development
  • You will work with Business users in Finance and Controller organization to understand MIS requirements for profitability reporting and document those requirements in JIRA Backlog, build process flows, test plans and design documents
  • You will bridge the business and technical realms to understand client pain points, refining business requirements and prioritizing work for your data products' agile teams to drive the largest impact and address functional issues
  • You will champion your profitability data products showing their business value across the organization
  • You will iterate the development of your profitability data products based on stakeholder feedback


  • You will develop Vison for your Data products, define features, epics and define stories, prioritize the backlog of multiple agile teams, and develop and maintain multiple profitability data product roadmaps with an emphasis on balancing competing regulatory reporting data product priorities
  • You will work with stakeholders to understand and fix issues across multiple profitability data products
  • You will assist leadership in setting and measuring objectives and key results (OKRs)
  • You will mentor profitability data product team members to fulfill the profitability data product vision
  • You will use your understanding SQL queries, analyze data related issues, and identify root cause of issues / defects. Develop and implement performance optimal system


  • You will participate and drive Scrum meetings to prioritize backlog, identify priorities, work with development teams to identify work involved, set work goals, and ensure timely solution implementation You will document system process flows and write test scripts for system testing.


Basic Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 9 years' related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 13 years' higher education and/or work experience including a minimum of 9 years' related experience


  • Robust understanding of full-cycle product development within an Agile framework
  • Experience with Profitability Reporting Data
  • Experience with Profitability measurement and analysis
  • Good understanding of Data Architecture, Data flows and database design concepts


  • Proven experience integrating data governance practices (Metadata Management, Lineage, Data quality) into product development
  • Demonstrated experience working with multiple data products
  • Ability to operate independently and manage and coordinate working with multiple teams and stakeholders


Preferred Qualification

  • Minimum of 12-15 years of Business/IT data experience with at least 3-5 years of experience in process engineering and 5 years' experience in project management
  • Fintech experience
  • Prior experience as a Business/Data Analyst or Data Steward working with profitability, fund transfer pricing and GL reconciliation solutions in a large bank
  • Demonstrated experience working with multiple data products in an active role helping build them (engineering, design, data, marketing, or similar)
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing with Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA) Profitability, FTP and GL Reconciliation modules


  • Sound understanding of key processing dimensions, hierarchies, and attributes within OFSAA Profitability solution
  • Ability to articulate corresponding data requirements for OFSAA Profitability solution from various sources of data like Loan systems, GL, Finance, Reference data
  • Knowledge of end-to-end data flow and profitability calculations within OFSAA Profitability solution
  • Working knowledge of profitability reporting using BI tools like Oracle OBIEE or Hyperion Essbase
  • Working knowledge of writing SQL queries and troubleshooting data relates issues Proven experience pulling, wrangling, and querying database using data analytic tools


  • Proven experience in advanced data architecture concepts
  • Experience authoring technical stories in agile project tracking software using industry standard notations


  • Proven experience using change management best practices for adoption of product changes within multiple user groups
  • PROSCI certification
  • CSPO Certification (Certified Scrum Product Owner)
  • Knowledge of statistics, data science techniques and tools, and multiple relational and Not Only Structured Query Language (NoSQL) databases
