ABOUT THE ROLE
GILLIG is seeking a qualified Program Administrator to drive strategic initiatives within the Customer Care Department on a cross-functional basis. The ideal candidate will have field service experience along with a history of managing operational projects. The ability to understand lean methodologies framework and analyze data to optimize departmental change will be important in this role. You will be trusted to work independently and with a team to manage projects, develop standards of operations, as well as specific department programs.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
- Act as a single point of contact for all departmental projects and assist with providing timely information to Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Quality
- Assist with Warranty Operations, working closely with Service Engineering as well as the Warranty Team to facilitate design changes, improvements, and quality measures
- Develop and development of our Vendor Recovery Program which manages the return process for defective warranty parts from the field as well as maximizes overall recovery
- Proactively manage relationships between the GILLIG Warranty Team and our Vendor Warranty Teams to ensure timely response of recovery for failed parts
- Support Customer Care projects specific to operational excellence and system implementations, such as Salesforce improvements and Warranty System enhancements
- Provide support to cross-functional teams as well as assist in delivering department goals on time, on budget with correct specifications
- Take accountability for program performance measurements, reporting, quality, resource needs, and key program financial activities
- Work independently and adapt to frequently evolving departmental needs
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of related experience, preferably in heavy-duty vehicle manufacturing or field service
- Strong knowledge of vehicle components and mechanical functions related to the heavy-duty industry
- Possesses the ability to effectively communicate, complex issues and strategies at all levels of the organization
- Understands Lean Methodology with the ability to analyze data
- Maneuver through challenging service provider conversations to ensure scope of work is met
- Warranty and Vendor Recovery experience is strongly preferred
- Excellent business acumen with demonstrated ability to align teams and achieve timely business program objectives
- Critical thinking skills with a high-level of independent judgment, and initiative
- Proven record of scheduling, planning, and tracking procedures within a manufacturing system preferably in a development and/or production environment
- Experience with various scheduling software programs and process development applications preferably within the service industry
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project) and experience with Salesforce is preferred
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally kneel or squat
- Limited travel may be required
- Standard start time: 7:00AM (negotiable)
EXPECTED COMPENSATION
$75,000 - $275,000/annual salary + premium benefits Â
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job classification, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
