Summary

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the 09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Serves as coordinator for facility maintenance, facility support and special project oversight; 2) Provides input to managers in the development of short and long range maintenance plans/improvement/renovation plans; 3) Monitors Bachelor Housing and Family Housing programs for compliance; 4) Monitors contract performance for timely and complete deliveries, quality and quantity controls; 5) Assist management with fiscal planning. Education


In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

OR

Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D.

or

equivalent degree

OR

Successful completion of an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled.

This announcement uses the Defense Industrial Base, Major Range and Test Facilities direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service.

This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.

Physical Demands: Work is principally sedentary, although fieldwork may be required. This may involve periods of walking, standing, stair climbing, bending, reaching, and similar activities during facility visits and inspections. Driving an automobile on station or between activities may be necessary; a valid state driver's license is required. Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings and/or training.

Work Environment: Work involves normal risks or discomforts associated with an office environment. The work area is usually adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. There may be occasional exposure to dusty or dirty conditions while visiting housing units or facilities.

A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
