Job Description
Summary
This announcement is being used to fill a vacancy within the Northeast Region of the Women's Bureau which consists of: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
NOTE: If selected, you must reside or relocate (at your own expense) to one of the states within the Northeast Region of the Women's Bureau. This position is remote ONLY within the Northeast Region of the Women's Bureau. It is NOT remote anywhere in the United States.
Requirements
Conditions of Employment
- Must be at least 16 years old and a U.S. Citizen.
- Candidate required to obtain the necessary security/investigation level.
- Requires a probationary period if the requirement has not been met.
Qualifications
To qualify, applicants must have (demonstrated in the resume) one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level, in the Federal service, performing at least 3 of the following duties:
- Developing speeches, talking points, presentations and reports on projects pertaining to issues of concern to working women; and presenting to large audiences at different professional levels; including upper management.
- Building and maintaining strong, mutual relationships and keeping open lines of communication with key stakeholders that serve the interest and address the employment needs of women.
- Providing support in planning and coordinating events, meetings, and workshops in collaboration with stakeholders, that promote an agency's program initiatives and future projects.
- Conducting research to determine issue areas and important trending developments that affect women.
Education
This position has no education requirement and there is no substitution of education for specialized experience at this grade level. Applicants must possess the required specialized experience.
