This position is in the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of the Secretary of Transportation (OST), Departmental Office of Civil Rights (DOCR), Complaints Adjudication and Program Evaluation Division.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- SELECTIVE SERVICE: Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for the Selective Service.
- PROBATIONARY PERIOD: You must complete a one-year probationary period (unless already completed).
- TIME-IN-GRADE:Ā Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower gradeĀ in the competitive or excepted service in the executive branch to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions contained in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F.
- DEU REQUIREMENTS: Applicants selected under delegated examining procedures may be required to successfully complete a one-year probationary period (unless already completed).
- REMOTE WORK:Ā This position may be eligible for remote work, which does not require reporting to the agency worksite location on a regular basis. If selected for a remote work location, you will be required to sign a remote work agreement detailing agency remote work policy requirements, working conditions, and expectations for the position.
Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience qualifications for the grade at which you are requesting consideration.
To qualify for the Grade 09,Ā you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-07 it must include:
- Experience analyzing or evaluating programs and producing reports.
- Experience utilizing database systems to enter, revise, track, store, and research information.
- Experience preparing reports and papers and responding to inquiries on technical and non-technical information requests.
To qualify for the Grade 11,Ā you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-09 it must include:
- Experience solving program or project issues in a team environment.
- Experience gathering pertinent data, identifying problems, and developing recommendations for improvement.
- Experience planning and organizing work procedures/processes.
To qualify for the Grade 12,Ā you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-11 it must include:
- Experience administering program related contracts and/or purchase orders.
- Experience analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of programs and operations.
- Experience performing cost-benefit analysis of current or proposed program operations.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
- Manages and organizes Information - Identifies a need; gathers, organizes, and maintains information; determines its importance and accuracy, and communicates it by a variety of methods.
- Knowledge Management - Knowledge of the value of collected information and the methods of sharing that information throughout an organization.
- Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
For all types of consideration, experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Ā Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Ā You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience
