GS-12: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) designing opportunities to enhance an organization's communication and engagement programs; 2) assisting in developing short and/or long range strategic goals; 3) maintaining relationships with internal and/or external stakeholders to synchronize communication and engagement efforts; and, 4) providing guidance to personnel on strategic engagement matters. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

GS-13: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) designing, coordinating, and assessing an organization's strategic effects programs; 2) developing short and long range strategic goals; 3) establishing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders to synchronize communication and plan strategic engagement activities; and, 4) serving as an advisor to senior leaders on complex strategic engagement matters. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
